Written communication entails any form of interaction that applies the use of the written word. Any effort involving more than one individual depends heavily on communication. Communication in the style of writing is fundamental in today’s world is becoming frequent the more we partake in what is often described as the information age. To precise, written communication is the dominant form of business communication. It is necessary for small business managers and owners to adopt efficient written communication skills and to promote the uniform in all employees. The information age has revised the manners in which we communicated and positioned an increasing emphasis on written versus oral communication.
There is a need for a rise in competitive writing skills to assist the constant computer usage and networking in the computer in organizing and transmitting information. The need to grow good writing skills is only emphasized by the fact that at the times of information age, it is widespread to have a business connection with clients and retailers that are well established and preserved entirely through the use of written communication. The key to communication is to deliver meaning in a precise and concise manner as feasible.
Individuals to not go through business memoranda for the delight of reading but in order to gather instructions which they can use in decision making or action taking. Thus, highly literary prose is undesirable in business writing.
