Abstract
For several years now, faith-based charities have often required their beneficiaries to subscribe to specific evangelist ways to qualify for their programs. With such a biased view of social work, these institutions have often been associated with less than favorable outcomes for the less fortunate people in society. Organizations such as Wesley Mission have had a biased stance on social and political matters. Precisely, they have failed to maintain a balance between religious identity and developmental activities. The project intends to influence the Congress to introduce a cap that will require such organizations to separate evangelism from strategic goals. The first step to this lobbyist activity is the identification of the most suitable legislator. Afterwards, I will schedule a meeting with the representative in addition to picking attendees. After the meeting, I will conduct a follow-up to the legislator’s office and all participants for their time. Following the implementation of the cap, I expect Wesley Mission and related organizations to be able to serve people equally without certain biased requirements.

Project Goal
The capacity to separate evangelism and development work has been a significant challenge for faith-based charity organizations such as Wesley Mission.

These institutions have often been associated with less favorable outcomes for the unfortunate people in society due to their conservative stances on political and social matters (De Cordier, 2009). Despite being a critical service provider in multiple development contexts, Wesley Mission faces the challenge of making complex dogmatic decisions regarding fundraising and resource allocation. It has to maintain a balance between strategic goals and religious identity. The pressure to make balanced choices often results in the institution developing agendas with unfavorable outcomes for both the middle and lower classes (De Cordier, 2009). The project intends to influence Congress to impose a cap that will require faith-based charities to separate evangelism from developmental issues.
Steps
Since Congress members have busy schedules, the first step for this lobbyist activity is to identify the most suitable representative and scheduling a meeting. I will organize the meeting by first sending a request and then following-up with a call to the scheduler to ratify the meeting in advance. After confirming the meeting, I will recruit attendees who are engaged on the issue. Before visiting the congress person’s office, I will gather sufficient information regarding the issue to demand the representative’s attention. After the meeting, I will conduct a follow-up to thank the office, legislator, and participants for their time.
Anticipated Outcome
I expect Congress to impose a cap that will require religious charities such as Wesley Mission to separate conservative opinions on political and social matters from their service provision. Such organizations should not require people to subscribe to certain evangelist notions to qualify as beneficiaries of their programs. Wesley Mission should be able to serve the people equally without a biased view of their choices in life.
