At first, Holden tends to respect and value Mr. Antolini very much to the extent that he offered Mr. Antolini greater respect than their current lecturer. Holden was optimistic that he would learn much from Mr. Antolini something which didn’t happen after they got into arguments with Mr. Antolini. According to Mr. Antolini’s statement, he was referring to the fact that, however much Holden was having much respect for him, there is one time when Holden would feel frightened about his behaviors, and this would make him sick of human behavior. This statement was in the form of foreshadowing to explain what Mr. Antolini intended to do to the student. Some of the confusing factors that Mr. Antolini was referring to were that moment when he was stroking Holden by the head and when Holden enquires why he says it was nothing. This brought confusion to the Holden just as he had been told before.
In addition, some of the sickening human behavior that Mr. Antolini was referring to were the issues such as the homosexuality that Holden thought of when Mr. Antolini stroked him by the head. This was a strange behavior that Holden didn’t expect to come from someone he considered as his mentor. Furthermore, it was sickening since Mr. Antolini was married and his wife was also in the same apartment where he was making homosexual advances to his former student. And also it was frightening for Holden to realize that the person he has given much respect has been having a homosexual behavior unlike Mr.

Spencer who he didn’t give much respect and he was referring to him as “Old Spencer.”
I tend to agree with the information that was provided by Mr. Antolini in his statement. For instance, most of the things that Mr. Antolini indicated in the statement came to pass before long. For instance, it was true that Holden was confused by choosing Mr. Antolini on behalf of Mr. Spencer not knowing that Mr. Antolini also has a weakness just like any other person. And also, when Mr. Antolini was stroking Holden by the head, Holden thought of homosexuality even though Mr. Antolini kept on telling him that that was nothing to be worried about. On the same note, the fact that Holden was frightened, he never hesitated when he realized that Mr. Antolini was after him when he was approaching the elevator. This, therefore, was a clear indication that the information that Mr. Antolini was referring to came to pass. Holden also experienced confusion when he realized that Mr. Antolini is not as special to him as he used to be before. The other confusing factor that approved Mr. Antolini statement is the fact that Mr. Antolini enquires more information concerning Holden’s girlfriend yet he is married to Mrs. Antolini. And also because of Mr. Antolini’s age, Holden didn’t expect him to talk about the issues of girls. Similarly, Holden expected to get concrete information concerning the “What size mind you have, ”only to get out of the apartment frightened by the human behaviors including that of Mr. Antolini whom he went to get information concerning the size of mind. Similarly, it can be true that size of the mind of Holden was fixed to homosexual activity even when Mr. Antolini insisted that what he was trying to do something that was not related to homosexuality as Holden thought.
