Cannabis: Alternative of Modern Medicine

To begin with, for a long time there has been conception about cannabis, but this should change, since in recent years various experiments have been carried out where cannabis has been beneficial in the field of medicine. However, are people informed about cannabis?, I think no, since many people still maintain a wrong conception about cannabis.

Finally, cannabis is an alternative of modern medicine that will help in the development of human health.

First, it should be noted that cannabis has been used a long time ago by diverse ancient cultures, being used to treat different symptoms and diseases that these ancient cultures presented. However, in the years from 1800 to 1900, in the United States the use of medical cannabis regularly. But in 1936, during the convention for the suppression of the Illicit traffic in Drugs Drugs it was promoted to the rest of the world, a treaty of criminalization of any activity related to cannabis.

In the same way, in recent years there is still the conception that cannabis remains considered as a social problem that affects the world’s population. But, recent investigations carried out by various countries, concluded that cannabis "can have some therapeutic value," reports the World Health Organization (WHO), in the same way, cannabis has already been tested in differentdiseases such as Alzheimer.

Now, the components found in cannabis are tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD), being cannabidiol that has the most medicinal and therapeutic properties.

Wait! Cannabis: Alternative Of Modern Medicine paper is just an example!

This could be verified thanks to various foreign entities that are responsible for the study of cannabis for medicinal purposes. All these entities conclude that cannabis has benefits that help in world health, therefore, the legalization of cannabis for medicinal purposes must be a reality that must be taken into account, so that countries that still do not yetlegalize take into account the benefits that medical cannabis can generate.

Now, moving to the legal measures that are applied, in Peru a couple of years ago the law was promulgated. 30681: which regulates the medicinal and therapeutic use of cannabis and its derivatives. In the same way, this law brings benefits. Not only in the medicinal field, but also in the economic field. Since, the constant evolution of diseases has generated conventional medicines not to have the same effect, and this makes pharmaceutical companies to find solutions that have a high economic value. On the contrary, looking for a solution with the use of medical cannabis turns out to be an effective alternative, since, taking as an example to Canada where medicinal cannabis is legalized, medications are sold for various types of pain in the body and at an accessible price.

Now, following the economic field, the State will benefit from the sale of medical cannabis, since foreign investors are interested in the production and sale of medical cannabis in Peru. This in turn would generate income to the State and thus be able to take Peru to a different future. On the other hand, a notable benefit would be the increase in labor demand, since companies involved in the medical cannabis business would have to implement their production and sale premises of the medical cannabis.

In Peru according to the newspaper "El Comercio" 10% of the diseases that are recorded are not possible to treat, since no treatment has been found to certain diseases that worsen over time. But, according to the Ministry of Health some of these diseases can be treated with medical cannabis. As an example of these diseases we have HIV. Medicinal cannabis cannot cure HIV, but it can deal with the various effects produced by HIV. On the other hand, cannabis would be an economic treatment for patients suffering from HIV.

‘Medicinal cannabis has an millenary use and has many therapeutic benefits. His benefits are known in everything that is pain and improvements in palliative care, ”says Dr. Carlos Magdalena, a neurologist at Gutiérrez Hospital. And he adds: ‘It is used for the treatment of various diseases such as glaucoma. It serves as a bronchodilator in asthmatic respiratory pathology and is applied in the treatment of refractory epilepsy, cancer, sclerosis and epileptic encephalopathies ’.

Finally, cannabis can be the alternative of many diseases, also after its legalization would bring benefits to the State regarding the economic and social, taking into account that after the approval of the law not. 30681 has already begun to work on ideas, which companies produce and distribute medicinal cannabis in a legal and safe way.
