DISC Personality Test
Introduction
The DISC Personality Test enables one to determine the kind of person he is in regards to the leadership skills that he has. An individual can establish some of the weaknesses that he has and as well, determine the adjustments that need to be done, (Jones, & Hartley, 2013). For the most part, people have varying skills that might depict the kind of leaders they can be. Some of the characteristics are innate while others are modifiable and can be learned from the environment through constant practice. Having undertaken the DISC Personality test and obtained the results, the paper aims to detail the findings.
My DISC type
In regards to my DISC personality type, I was able to determine that I am well responsive to challenges. I am also enthusiastic and realistic about the different difficulties that I handle. I also rely much on facts. As a result, I tend to lean on providing information that I can substantiate with credible sources. I am also self-sufficient. The case relates to the idea that I value being able to do different tasks by myself. I believe in being able to depend on myself to build my capacities much farther. I value my individuality and have faith in the internal strength that I have. I am also assertive, in that I can stand for what I believe in and be firm on it. I am also creative and rational in the way I interact with other people.
What I learned about myself
Despite the fact that I am already aware of most of the descriptions that were given from the DISC report, some of them came as a surprise to me.

Wait! DISC Personality Test paper is just an example!

One of them is that I tend to be impatient and dissatisfied with minor details. I am, therefore, able to determine that I tend to look at the bigger picture of a given concept. Such a situation, therefore, makes me lose focus on the specific smaller elements that define it. As a leader, I believe that one needs to pay attention to the minor details. I am, therefore, prompted to see to it that I can practice doing so. I believe that I will manage to do so. It has also pushed me to adopt a style that will ensure I can grasp all the details that relate to the activity that needs to be done in the most appropriate fashion.
The kind of leader that I am
I am and would still like to be an autocratic leader who can ensure that the team members have all the necessary resources and capacities to handle the tasks at hand. I believe that autocratic leadership is important as it enables the junior members to explore their capabilities. The leader can positively influence the other members to take part in different activities. They are also able to participate in the process of problem-solving actively. They are also able to provide ideas on how a task could be made simpler. Autocratic leadership is also essential as it accords the other team members the level of peace that they feel they deserve, (Jones, & Hartley, 2013). They are, therefore, likely to be more motivated to engage in their duties with a high level of enthusiasm. The effect of the situation is imperative because their productivity is likely to improve considerably.
Whether a person can change their personality
Although the personality of an individual is normally innate and quite challenging to change, I believe that one can change it in the quest of being a leader. The person can associate with others and learn of some of the characteristics that are desirable for a leader. The person can, therefore, continuously practice with the view of being able to adopt some of the measures that are of the essence of leadership, (Jones, & Hartley, 2013). A person can also read literature that relates proper leadership. The individual can, therefore, be able to take note of some of the steps that he may need to take to meet the skills of a leader. One can also liaise with other people who bear the right leadership personalities who could mentor them on the best processes to take to achieve the change.
Conclusion
To sum up, the DISC personality Test is an effective tool for assessing the personal skills and capabilities that one has. As a result, a person can draw the insights developed in its report to determine the kind of a leader that he is, (Jones, & Hartley, 2013). I was able to learn that I am highly responsive to challenges. I was also able to determine that I am assertive and self-motivated. One of the elements that I learned as a surprise to me is that I am less attentive to small details. As a result, I aim to look deeply into the specific aspects of various tasks that I face because it would improve my leadership skills. I also believe that one can learn a new personality in order to become a better leader.
