My favorite topic this week was about the endocrine system. What I enjoyed about the endocrine system is knowing how it helps the body maintain the levels of the hormone in the blood system. The video link about the endocrine system is stated below. The video summaries the topic of endocrinology which is the study of hormones. It indicates the origin of the name hormone. From the video we can learn what the function of hormones is. It further clarifies the roles of the hormones in the real-life situations. We can also learn what hormones are and the importance they play in the human body (“Intro To The Endocrine System”).
The endocrine system is related to the circulatory system in the body. The circulatory system is the mode of transport for the endocrine system. The chemical and hormone of the endocrine in the body must circulate through the blood vessels. Hence the endocrine system needs the circulatory system for transport while the circulatory system needs the endocrine system to function.
The endocrine system influences the heart rate, blood sugar levels and the blood pressure. In contrast, the hormones which have been released by the endocrine system are transported by the circulatory system so that they can act on tissues far away from their site of secretion.
The importance of information about the endocrine system is that I have been able to understand the purpose of the system in the body, and why the endocrine gland is very important.

From the information, I have been able to find out how the system affects the behavior of an individual. The topic has not shown up in the news these days because of the limited knowledge people have concerning it. This topic is vital for the future career since it will help me understand how some hormones function in the body. This topic of anatomy can be applied to provide patients with the best care they need since I will be able to understand the human body and how each system functions. A person who has had behavior change for example might be having a malfunctioning endocrine system.
