Review CDC’s Physical Activity for Everyone Program
CDC has collaborated with national partners to promote the walking and walkability as part of physical activity. The agency promotes the activities of the National Physical Activity Plan (NPAP), which aims to inspire a culture of physical activities among adults, youths, and children. CDC acknowledges the policies, programs, initiatives intended to improve physical activities among all segments of the American population. Children, adults, older adults, pregnant, and postpartum women should participate in the activities. Additionally, CDC finances land grants universities to promote healthy eating at the community level.
CDC views High Obesity Program (HOP) as the ultimate way of increasing accessibility to healthier food options alongside safe and accessible locations for physical activities. Hence, funding universities with community extension services is another avenue for reducing the 40% obesity prevalence in the counties. Furthermore, the promotion is not discriminative as CDC finances racial and ethnic institutions with relevant programs, which champion healthy living among African Americans, Hispanics, Asian Americans, Pacific Islanders, and Alaska Natives.
CDC views physical activities such as walking, healthy eating, or nutrition for all demographic groups as the ultimate way of achieving a healthy nation. The agency recommends the improvement of early childcare education (ECE) framework to encourage a collaborative learning process for physical activities.

I found the resource dubbed Youth Compendium of Physical Activities helpful. The resource contains a list of 196 activities, which I can try. I would consider sedentary activities such as watching TV. I would like to develop a culture of running, walking, and participating in games and sports activities. The compendium is ideal for reducing or reversing prevalence of childhood obesity.
