Return to the homeland. In 1842, thanks to the collaboration of his friend Meyerbeer, the premiere of his Rienzi opera in the city of Dresde was agreed. The premiere has great success. From this opera, Wagner became the most recognized composer in Germany. He wanted the fortune that, a few days after the premiere of Rienzi, the death of the real Kpellmeister (Royal Chamber Director) Francesco Morlacchi happened. On February 2, 1843 Wagner held the life position of Kpellmeister Real. This position granted him political prominence, which made an expert in interwoven creativity and management. Wagner’s artistic interests quickly merged with his political activity.

The composer conceived the theater as the mirror of a reactionary society. Thus, undertaking the transformation of the first would change the second. Hence Wagner involved in subversive politics. Wagner was related to German nationalism. This thought can be clearly reflected both in its mythological characters and in the arguments of their works. Bayreuth after all these years of living with Wagner, finally, Cosima divorces her husband and marries Richard. Wagner conceives the Wagner Society Foundation Plan. The first stone of the Bayreuth Theater put her on her 59th birthday. Made a concert tour of Germany to collect funds. The work ends in 1874 thanks to the help of Louis II. The composer builds his wahnfried house also in Bayreuth. By 1876, the theater finances showed large losses. 

Wagner held a series of concerts to capture funds that lessen the losses. In 1877 his first heart problems were presented. Death and legacy: between 1881 and 1882 Wagner suffered several heart attacks. On February 13, 1883 the famous composer dies in Venice. His body is buried in the garden of his villa wahnfried. Tetralogy (the Nibelungo ring) is undoubtedly its most important work. It is composed of four operas: the Valquiria, the gold of the rhine, the decline of the gods and sigfrido. Tetralogy with Parsifal, Tristán and Isolda, the masters singers of Nuremberg, Lohengrin, Tannhäuser and the wandering Dutch integrate the so -called Bayreuth canon.

The full cycle did not appear until 1876. Since that year, this canon is represented at the annual festival held in Bayreuth, Germany. In short, Wagner’s ideas had as many supporters as detractors. The legacy of the Bayreuth Theater, of complexity never seen before, was possible thanks to its fervent admirer King Louis II of Bavaria. This theater is destined exclusively to the representation of his work. Richard Wagner was tireless multifaceted, without abandoning music, he also dedicated himself to philosophy, literature and aesthetics. Wagner’s work intensely accelerated a change in the musical movement, influencing the composers of the twentieth century.
