Abstract
The “West,” a documented series of episodes addressing the Native American land stretching along the Mississippi River. The region attracted new settlers from Europe and Asia continent. The Spanish, British, French, Russian, and Chinese were the key interested settlers along the Mississippi River. The settlement in the Native American’s land has posed history revocation whereby the archeological practices and religious activities interfere. Moreover, this action forced the settlers to move towards the uplands away from the river. The documentary has a shown series of activities that integrated the settlement of new settlers in the regions despite the strong history of the land. The land has heroic history and people whose treasure was linked to the landscape. However, the coming of new settlers was a complete opposite of the situation in the region between the years1806-1850. The new settlers with the divide and rule strategy affecting the Native Americans. The Federal Government being the source of all pressure brought about the attacks and the forceful move of the Indian Americans.

Introduction
This episode introduces the Beautiful land of Mississippi and their original settlers. The set up was in the year 1806 elaborating the American settlement stretching from the Mississippi River to the Pacific Ocean. Further, the settlement extends from the northern plains over to the Rio Grande with an approximate land of 2 million miles squared with the extraordinary landscape.

The land stretch along the broad Mississippi River with deep canyons, boundless prairies, mountains and endless forests stretch. It is a dream landscape for the settlers to venture and begin their livelihood in the region. According to Momaday, the Native Americans portraying sacred realities and traditional activities in the area was a powerful thing to them (as cited in “West Episode Index,”2016). The Spanish traveled and explored the Mexican section moving up towards the north, the British and the French settle from the South as they advanced towards the South, the Chinese and the Russians ended at the east. Finally, the Americans were the last to arrive and settle in the (“West Episode Index,”2016).
The Native Americans who initially lived in the region and settled in the place as their center of the universe was a nightmare to them as intruders could not allow them to live their way of traditional ways. Their stories were linked to the land itself, and the great mythical treasure which soon was over. The Native Americans were classified in the archeological periods with Stone Age culture referred to “Neolithic.” The settlers, however, came and disrupted their cultural and religious activities pursued by the newly settlers (“West Episode Index,”2016). The Native American had an important history in the land which was later altered by the regenerative force and superiority of the new settlers in the area. The new settlers conquer intended to protect and nurture the region and have a piece of the beautiful land to set up homes for other economic activities in the area.
The story involves the conquest of all regions pressuring the Native due to the ambitious vision by new settlers claiming to play a part in the area. However, this competitive challenge forced the original settlers to the Horizon where they lose their heroic history on the land. The Trail of Tear further extended to the settlers further engaging with the forceful evacuation of the Natives. Due to the inferior weapon, they could not sustain the fights from the settlers with the superior weapon in their war engagement. The Federal Government supported the move of pressuring the Indians out of the region to set up their Agricultural activities (“West Episode Index,”2016). The pressure was a benefit to the settlers; however, it was a source of tears to the struggling Indian Americans who wish to retain their land and history.
In conclusion, the episode introduces the settlers in the Mississippi region and the pressure by the settlers and the federal government. The Land has rich values in agriculture that favored the farming and the gold mind was a source of potential economic activity. The endless forests moreover, gave a promising weather for farming through the years. The Native Americans were less aggressive in the activities in the productive land (“West Episode Index,”2016). However, their history on the land was a source of togetherness and common practices. The pressure to move out of the land was not an easy task to the Indians and was full of wars and attacks affecting their army.
