Perspective One
Indeed, children exhibit higher rates of the heartbeat as compared to adults. According to the medical journal “Normal Pulse Rates for Kids,” while adults record about 60 to 100 beats per minute, children typically have a higher heart rate ranging from 43 to 181 beats per minute (Iannelli, n.d.). When the heart rate is in excess or below these values, the parent should be wary because of the high probability of an underlying medical condition. Whereas such fluctuations can be attributed to various factors such as physical activity and medical conditions, I believe that higher children heart rate is primarily attributed to elevated metabolic processes that facilitate growth processes. And as growth processes stop in the latter stages of adolescence, the metabolic and heart rates reduce.
Perspective Two
My biggest concern regarding the genetic coding has also been the role of the largest constituent of RNA (98%) also known as the non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs). While the role of messenger RNAs’ role in coding processes is quite specific, the lack of scientific tools to aid in research processes has made it impossible for scientists to pinpoint the actual functions of ncRNAs (Shedding light on the ‘dark matter’ of the genome, n.d.). However, I believe that this genetic material plays a critical role in gene coding. My assumptions are pegged on the fact recent studies have indicated that indeed ncRNAs play an essential role in gene regulation such as acting as shuttles for mRNAs.

Wait! Journal Responses paper is just an example!

In short, it seems like a distant call but more insight and research into the functional roles of ncRNAs will yield a lot of good to the field of genetic engineering. I believe that ncRNAs are not junk but critical constituents of the human genome.
Perspective Three
The CBD oil which is extracted from cannabis plants (both marijuana and hemp plants) has provided a glimmer of hope people suffering from conditions such as arthritis and diabetes (Burgess, n.d.). I have also come across different articles on the role of this oil in alleviating chronic pain, and as much as I am skeptical about everything, I believe that the CBD oil will be effective in dealing with the pain that your mother is experiencing. This is because of the cannabinoid’s ability to alter the way pain receptors respond to different pain stimuli. In fact, the clinical evidence of its efficacy in dealing with arthritis, CBD oil will surely help your mother.
Perspective Four
Well, the human body is quite complex. Looking at your journal, it is clear that just as much as MLKL presents a dire situation, it is also a solution for certain health conditions such as the Crohn’s disease. Luckily, however fatal these proteins are, MLKL can only be activated by the inositol phosphate 6 (IP6). That is why MLKL’s discovery will aid in trying to stop abnormal and uncontrolled cell necrosis activities, which give rise to fatal conditions such as Crohn’s disease and lupus (Specktor, 2018). I am optimistic that drugs that prevent IP6 from activating the MLKL will be found in response to this protein’s discovery to help in preventing uncontrolled cell necrosis activities.
Perspective Five
I am skeptical about the role of alcohol in alleviating cardiovascular diseases. It is a long shot trying to claim that what has been seen as a wrong for so long can be a right. I do not support the argument that moderate alcohol intake will reduce cardiovascular morbidity and mortality among the elderly. This is because alcohol is a stimulant and its consumption, however, the amount, will increase the heart rate; something which is not advocated for among the elderly (Kloner & Rezkalla, 2007). In short, as much as studies are supporting the same, I believe that nutritionally alcohol should be last recommendation for the elderly.
