Lessons from Freshman Orientation
When I joined the college as a new student, we were taken through an orientation process. The process was aimed to introduce all new students to the various sections of the college as freshman students and make them blend in with the culture of the institution (Brown 835). Notably, the issue of time management was highly emphasized during this orientation program. I have applied the knowledge I gained as far as time management is concerned in all areas of my school life since every activity needs punctuality. For instance, I am required to wake up every morning early enough so that I can prepare myself and attend the morning lectures since most of my classes start at 7 am or 8 am. As such, I have to ensure that I wake up at 6 am, prepare for one hour and ensure that I am in class thirty minutes before time. I have applied time management also in my private studies. I have a personal timetable which I ensure I follow to the latter. This timetable comprises of all the subjects that I undertake, as such, I ensure that in a week, I study all the subjects comprehensively. This has enabled me to prepare adequately for my exams.
Besides, during the freshman orientation, I learned about the skills of note-taking. I have used this knowledge in preparing for my examinations. For instance, I have ensured that I attend all lectures and take notes while listening to the lecturer. The fact that I reach 30 minutes before class starts to enable me to settle and be ready for the lecture.

Wait! Lessons from Freshman Orientation paper is just an example!

I concentrate during the class and ensure that I have all my notes with me. Immediately after class, I revisit what I wrote to ensure that every point is clear. On the same note, I look for books which are related to the subject, and while reading, I try and compare the concepts which I was given in class and the ones in the book. This helps me develop clear notes which are objective and are easy to understand.
