Exacerbations
It is a medical intervention that assists people who have chest congestion to breath with ease while under medication. It is a medical intervention that usually assists people admitted in the intensive care unit wing of the hospital. It can also assist people with shallow breathing problems to breathe well in various medical circumstances. People with a history of neurologic conditions usually benefit from this intervention that consists of devices that helps them to breathe (Blissitt, 2011). The mechanical devices that are associated with this medical intervention normally help people with the inhaling and exhaling process. It passes oxygen through their noses and eases the congestion in the chest (Crofts, 2006). A face mask can be beneficial to such people because it prevents the airways from breaking during the end of the inhaling process. During the exacerbation medical intervention, people wearing face masks can benefit from smooth breathing process due to the consistent flow of oxygen through the airways.
A medical ventilator can also be used to assist people with chronic breathing situations. It is an intervention that can be used to assist people in dire need of breathing assistance. A mechanical ventilator can also assist with other respiratory issues such as acute massive atelectasis. It is a complication that could allow for admission to the intensive care unit for an exacerbation medical intervention. The treatment of this complication is associated with treating the blood that does not contain enough oxygen for the proper functioning of the body’s respiratory structure.

Wait! Nursing paper is just an example!

Supplementary oxygen is required for admission in the blood that does not contain the much-needed content of oxygen. In most circumstances, mechanical ventilation is normally used for this procedure.
Patient Safety Checks
The patient safety check is a required medical intervention at every point of the recovery process of the patient. It is an intervention that includes circuit leaks of the mechanical devices that are responsible for assisting a patient in breathing well while under medication (Kvande, Delmar, Lykkeslet & Storli, 2015). The safety check also sets to ensure that the airflow is maintained in the respiratory ventilator. It also includes the adjustment of the aspiratory gas flow that ensures that the mechanical device does not run out of oxygen during treatment of the patient. The safety check ensures that the alarm of the mechanical device is functioning well. The alarm helps to notify the nurse in charge of the situation of any leakage of gas or deteriorating condition of the patient. The alarm would draw the attention of the nurse in situations where the patient requires medical assistance. Patient observation is also a required medical intervention that is beneficial to the patient due to the antagonizing health situation (The Journal of Nursing, 2008). An observation by a nurse requires that the patient is checked on after every half an hour to monitor his health progress. It is also a significant activity because the skin under the face mask that the patient is also wearing needs to be checked on to prevent rashes. The skin can dry up under the mask due to lack of ventilation, which could lead to infection and pose another health issue for the patient. Skin infection might also occur due to unhygienic behavior from the nurses or patients. In this case, a nurse might handle the respiratory mechanical device without washing her hand properly, which could result in skin infection to the patient. Most hospitals require that nurses wear gloves while handling medical facilities.
