The article “Organic farmers see green both in sustainability and profits” explores the gains made by farmers as a result of using organic farming methods. According to the article, farmers not only target sustainability by choosing organic farming methods but also stand to gain a lot in profit (Meersman, 2015). Although the cost of farming using both organic and conventional methods is almost the same, farmers using organic farming methods end up selling their products at comparatively higher prices than farmers using conventional methods. The article also points out the high growth potential of organic farming when compared to conventional farming meaning organic farming has more advantages than conventional farming because it requires fewer resources but generates higher profits.
The article explains the economic gains that farmers stand to make as a result of adopting organic farming. From the article, numerous benefits of organic farming are explained that make it a much more efficient farming method than conventional farming. Not only does the method require less land area and chemical inputs, but also results in higher priced products when compared to the conventional method. This relates to the production function concept of the firm (Coppock & Mateer, 2018). A firm must determine the optimal production quantities that need to be produced to make profits. Farmers intending to adopt organic farming must, therefore, determine the exact quantity of product they intend to produce using organic methods in line with market demand, and the production quantities they can produce using conventional methods.

The article presents an accurate analysis of the gains that farmers stand to make by adopting organic farming methods. From reading the article, it is clear that organic farming is more profitable than conventional methods and in future will be adopted by more farmers.
Both the economic and Christian perspectives of the story are the same. According to the article, the practices advocated for are efficient, reduce waste and generate higher returns to farmers (Meersman, 2015). The proposed practices do not in any way contradict any Christian teaching or concept of economic activity.
