Physical Health of Young People
Habits learned in youth commonly persist to adulthood. The technological advances from the Millennial generation have made young people sedentary. Many quarters are advocating for physical activity for better health. Though children are increasingly becoming more sedentary and unhealthy, state legislatures aim to eliminate physical education requirements in our public schools.
Young people are more inactive than the older generation. The reason is mainly time constraint and technology CITATION Whi17 p n.p. l 1033 (White n.p.). Children spend a lot of time on electronic devices for entertainment, have their parents busy at work hence unavailable to help them schedule physical activities, learning at schools that emphasize the core educational curriculum over co- and extra-curricular activities, the inactivity, in the long-term, has adverse effects. These include obesity, dyslipidemia, stroke, metabolic syndrome and type 2 diabetes mellitus.
The physical education programs in schools improve children’s health. The elimination of required physical programs sends a mixed message to the public. The proposal to eliminate the programs was to allow the children to pursue their interests. It is taught in schools how important it is in the long-run to exercise. Wait! Physical Health paper is just an example!

It is not too late for Martha to change her lifestyle. She should begin by walking from her apartment to campus, avoiding pizza and soda. She should also take walks to buy her food and reduce the amount of sedentary time spent watching TV and chatting. She should begin exercises that improve her flexibility. These include yoga and stretching her muscles. Before starting any exercise program, she should see her family physician have her general health checked up to determine whether she is physiologically healthy for her preferred types of exercises. In addition, she will know her current state of physical health to set targets to achieve in the program. Most importantly, Martha should be patient in her exercise program, for she would need to continue consistently for at least four weeks before she notices the positive effects of healthy regular exercise.
