Meeting and Communicating with Senator Robin Fleming
Communication is paramount in the implementation of every activity, whether presenting one’s health information to healthcare officials or planning on how to start a business. In all these, strategies exist that ensures the whole process is conducted successfully (Ye et al., 2010). My healthcare concern can best be solved by meeting Senator Robin Fleming who is involved in healthcare reforms. Since she always has a busy schedule, I figured out that the best strategy for communicating and meeting her will be to book for an appointment. Contacting the Senator’s office and requesting for the secretary to schedule me a meeting with the healthcare officer will be the first step. On the appointed day, self-introduction and proper explanation of the case must follow, which will help save time and make the meeting profitable (Laxalt, 2009). Moreover, it is important that I remain focused on the main issues that matter most as it is easy to run out of time and be off-track. Answering and asking questions during the process will be of great essence during the process.
The logic behind booking for a meeting with the healthcare official as opposed to making phone calls and writing letters is that, with a personal meeting, we will have direct communication. I will be in a position to explain my case well which will put me in a better position of convincing her (Stiggelboutet al.

, 2012). Notably, with direct communication, there is live feedback which includes body language and expressions. Also meeting with Senator Robin will help in improving future communication and expanding the network as this will display some concern and accord respect to the health official. Furthermore, it will make her feel that she is appreciated for the effort that she is putting towards making healthcare reforms. The method will also boost efficiency and effectiveness, because, the healthcare official will have a first-hand experience of the expected health reforms. Finally, with a personal meeting, there will be confidentiality, will be at risk of leaking to the wrong people since everything will be between the Senator and me.
