Social function of the media in the Ecuadorian community

The media in Ecuador have suffered several stages. Several, have been responsible for changing democratic life and collaborating with the country’s course either for a good or bad road.

During the time of the "Black Letter" the freedom of the press was impressed and institutionalized for the first time with the government of Gabriel García Moreno in 1869. In the 1990s, freedom of the press lived its golden age.

Ecuador does not have a public media tradition. Since the appearance of the first newspapers and magazines to the 1999 financial crisis, it was the private companies that dominated the communication sector.

In our society it could be said that the media have been defined as tools that allow us to disseminate various social events. It is also said that the media issue the information in a partial and not complete way, according to the interests of private, capital and governments on duty.

Another negative aspect of the media is the issuance of the so -called "garbage program" that mostly transmit violent acts, gossip, conversation issues not suitable for children in family schedules and sell us the possibility of obtaining success and happiness with happiness withThe law of least effort.

“Social discomforts only have visible existence when the media talk about them, that is, when journalists recognize them as such. Now, they are not reduced to the mere media unstrapping or, above all, to the image that the media give of them when they perceive them.

Wait! Social Function Of The Media In The Ecuadorian Community paper is just an example!

There is no doubt that journalists do not fully invent the problems of what they talk; They can even think, not without reason, that they contribute to make them known and incorporate them, as they usually say, to the ‘public debate’. The truth is that it would be naive to stay in that finding. Not all discomfort are equally ‘media’, and those that are inevitably suffer a certain amount of deformations from the moment the media address them, since, far from limiting themselves to registering them, the journalistic field submits them to a trueConstruction work that depends in a very wide measure of the interests of that sector of activity.”(Bourdieu, and others, 1999)

Not everything in the media is negative, because through them we can obtain information that we want in a short time space.

Thanks to the different media we have informed throughout the generations to know the state in which our country is located. A clear example was the constant update of information that was lived during confinement because of the COVID-19 phenomenon.

To be honest, I hate writing. That’s why when my professor assigned me with coursework, I just took the easy way out and hired StudyZoomer to assist me. I’m absolutely satisfied with the result, no flaws.
