Teaching about Bitcoin and Blockchain

Introduction

Since I entered the Crypto Space (2017), I have been learning a lot about blockchain and Bitcoin technology, I learned how to make “trading” on exchange platforms, how to read graphics, use some indicators and know how to make the decision to invest In projects, depending on the progress of its development, achievements and important events.

Even so, it is difficult and impossible to be up to date with each project or what happens in the Crypto world. Sometimes this can be a bit frustrating to me, but when it comes to talking about the subject with someone who asks me something about it, I realize that I enjoy sharing information and I always hope to create some kind of value in that person. I am good to teach someone something, nor do I consider myself an expert.

Developing

In fact, every time I see the youtubers that I follow, or when I see Andreas Antonopoulos giving speeches about blockchain technology, I feel I don’t know anything. Blockchain with emphasis on integration into business and industries. The offer is still very low, but I know that I can soon find a university near my country, Panama, have enough time and money to do so. Of course there are online options online, but I learn better in person and at the same time I can meet people and increase my contact network.

However, today I decided to meet a couple of friends and have a small meeting to talk about Bitcoin and the technology behind this cryptocurrency.

Wait! Teaching About Bitcoin And Blockchain paper is just an example!

It happens that they wanted to understand and learn more about it. I did not prepare anything and it was very informal, but I am very happy with the result. We agreed to gather in the local coffee and smoothies business of one of my friends, at 10 am on Saturday. I thought about bringing my laptop, but I decided that it was better to start with a conversation, use a white board and talk a little about the history of Bitcoin, the foundations and some information about how the network works.

After finishing my coffee and feeding my son early in the morning, I left the house with the white board, a couple of markers, two of my blockchain books as a reference, a bitcoin currency, my Hodl cap and my notebook of Notes. The books that I decided to take with me were: – Blockchain Revolution of Don and Alex Tapscott– Blockchain: the Alex Preukschat industrial internet revolution everything I consider relevant or important to remember and continue learning.

When I got there, I took the opportunity to ask for a good bowl of Acai, banana, strawberries, yogurt and granoola. What better way to be received! Two of them were already there, the owner of the store and her boyfriend, both good friends of mine. Unfortunately, the other friend who was supposed to bring his sample of ground coffee, had fallen asleep, did not wake up on time, something that happens a lot in the Caribbean, especially a Saturday morning.

Listing all the issues that we covered in our meeting as follows: First it began to enumerate the different examples about how some industries have already transcended the digital world from the physical world without users think of it during the last two decades. Then I talked a little about the history of Bitcoin, explaining "Who" is Satoshi Nakamoto and what did he do. When I started talking about how Bitcoin’s blockchain works, it was a bit challenging because I didn’t want to confuse them with the technical part. But basically I explained what a node and a block is, what is the "test of work" and what do the miners do to be rewarded.

We talked about the fundamentals, it was a bit fun, since many questions, we even made comparisons between the Bitcoin and the dollar, as well as between the Bitcoin and the gold.- I explained some important aspects about this incredible digital asset and its intrinsic value.- Then we talk about why there are so many other cryptocurrencies. I explained a little about what is open source and, since the information on how to create a new blockchain is public, that facilitated programmers to create new crypts. I also talked about projects that turned out to be a fraud, as well as scams.

conclusion

They asked good questions, and I finished the talk by checking what we discussed and also left them the following tasks: Read the Whitepaper of Satoshi, I told them that even if they did not understand something, that they would not worry. They were very grateful and excited, even one of them was already looking in Netflix about Bitcoin documentaries to see that same night. It is affecting other industries especially social networks, and how to choose a digital portfolio. To my friends, with details for you, who reads this, you can give me your opinion.
