The Cultural Heritage of Ecuador

INTRODUCTION

In this essay, the ideas and concepts of culture and heritage are exposed, or rather about the cultural heritage of Ecuador, the latter has some representative places and elements that have gone down in history by being recognized as a natural nature of humanity both naturallyand cultural, since they meet the requirements such as being characteristic of some period of history, natural beauty with extraordinary natural phenomena or diversity. Some of the sites of the Ecuadorian territory that comply and have a natural, cultural and historical value are for example the capital Quito, the enchanted Galapagos Islands, the Inca path and also some intangible elements such as knowledge, ancestral languages, forms of expression,Among others, all these aspects are explained in detail in the development of work.

DEVELOPING

When we talk about culture, what we want to describe is a set of subjective and material goods of a social group, which are transmitted from generation to generation in order to guide particular and collective practices, so culture contains aspects such as language, formsof life, customs, traditions, behaviors, values, patterns, tools and knowledge because these are acquired by man for being a member of society. In this sense it is evident to say that the function of culture is to certify survival and facilitate the adaptation of the subjects to the environment.

The term culture is very broad and also contemplates important concepts within the development of a people, taking into account its biological inheritance; The type of socialization that develops, both in individual and universal aspects, production of material goods, thus the production of symbolic goods.

Wait! The Cultural Heritage Of Ecuador paper is just an example!

It had its first meaning as the use of the field through crops but this concept has been enriched over time to the point that it now encompasses every cultivation of the intellect of the human being.

The concept of heritage has a meaning linked to inheritance and the facts acquired as members of a certain social community or group. Heritage can be inherited by belonging to a family or a nation. For example, the World Heritage is formed by sites that, due to their exceptional importance, deserve to be preserved for the common inheritance of all human beings.

In general, assets are defined as what is inherited from parents and nature and what we want to inherit our children and future generations. Heritage is part of the cultural heritage of a people or state, it is worth mentioning that there are determining values of cultural heritage such as authenticity and integrity. In some cases the heritage constitutes a non -renewable resource since it cannot return to its first temporary state, so it must be preserved and properly managed by the public, private and community sector.

Heritage according to (Hernández, 2016) is classified as follows; In natural heritage, cultural heritage and cultural/natural heritage. In turn, cultural heritage can be in two ways, tangible and intangible, tangible because it refers to movable and immovable property that can be paintings, sculptures, books, machinery, laboratory equipment, domestic or work objects, objects forRituals, audiovisual material such as movable property and monuments or historical sites, public monuments, artistic monuments, architectural sets, industrial centers and engineering works by real estate, and intangible because of knowledge, celebrations, forms of expression, manifestationsliterary, musical, plastic, and places such as markets, fairs, sanctuaries, squares and other places where cultural practices take place.

Natural heritage, in this sense, differs from cultural because they are natural monuments constituted by physical and biological formations, delimited areas that constitute habitats of animal and plant species, threatened or endangered, biosphere reserves, places and natural areasstrictly delimited such as national parks. Another classifications is the cultural/natural heritage that becomes the unification of the previous two, these can be archaeological and historical vestiges in their original natural context, paleontological fossil vestiges associated with in situ human activity, underwater vestiges of human activity, cultural landscape, produced in a certain time and space.

When specifically speaking of natural heritage we say that it is the group of natural elements with original value from the scientific point of view, so that a place or element of nature can be considered as heritage must be a characteristic example of large or several stages of theHistory of the Earth, including the Biodiversity Registry;be significant in geological processes, their geological and physiographic form.

On the other hand, cultural heritage according to Navarro is or designates the cultural inheritance that corresponds to a given community and therefore is protected and communicated to present generations such as future generations. Some historical monuments, archaeological remains or popular traditions have such amount that they are qualified as Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

In accordance with Diario El Universo, the seven Ecuadorian icons recognized as a World Heritage in a very general lines are;The Inca road (the oldest road network in America), Quito, the Galapagos Islands (Paradise of Humanity), Cuenca (Second Ecuadorian City on the list), the varied ecosystem that makes up the Sangay National Park, the Zápara Language(They are the latest representatives of an ethnolinguistic group), the Toquilla straw hat (a recognized overwin that entered the story).

Conclusions

The term culture is very wide and covers a large number of elements, so it is very important to classify the different places, sites, architectural works, monuments, traditions, among others, which make up the history of a certain community, city or country. In the same way, the term heritage is rather linked to what can be left as an inheritance for future generations and has a classification depending on whether it is a natural, cultural or natural/cultural place or element, of which some correspond andThey are inherited to the community in general, while others are inherited to a certain people, such as customs, traditions, forms of expression and language.
