The video can be perceived to illustrate a good example of illusion that involves visual play. On my experience with the video, when counting the number of passes among the players dressed in white, I was unable to notice any unusual event as the focus was on counting the number of passes. The passes were sixteen as expected. However, viewing the next illustration indicated that I had failed to note some changes when counting the passes. The changes included a person dressed in a gorilla costume joining the crowd for a few seconds, facing the camera, pounding his or her chest, and the leaving the crowd. Other changes entailed one of the players dressed in a black t-shirt leaving the crowd and the curtain changing from red to orange and then back to red.
A specific concept on perception included in the activity entails selective blindness. According to an article by Fisher (2010), two predictions can be made from the experiment. First, if one is aware of the appearance of the individual in the gorilla costume, chances are that he or she may view the rest of the unexpected events or consider looking for other events. The second prediction is that being aware of the gorilla may influence one to only look out for the gorilla such that he or she fails to notice the rest of the unexpected events. A conclusion made regarding the experiment is that prior knowledge of the appearance of the gorilla did not influence the detection of the other unexpected events (Fisher, 2010).

Wait! The Monkey Business Illusion. paper is just an example!

The conclusion aligns with the idea of selective blindness whereby when the focus is put one element, it becomes difficult to notice other events taking place in a particular environment.
